The stat that is mentioned on the link below is that every 15 seconds someone dies because of lack of water. In Africa, the average person walks 6 miles for clean water and 1.1 billion water do not have access to clean water. Watch the video.

Think about how long your showers are. I know, you turn a faucet on and clean water is there and you don't even think about how awesome that is. The infrastructure that we have in America is awesome. Even if you don't have "city water", we have the money to drill a well.
